A&B Transport - Most Asked Questions

Will my car go to a terminal?
It depends on what day your vehicle is scheduled for pickup and delivery.  If the carrier cannot pickup/deliver your vehicle(s) due to scheduling conflicts, inaccessible areas or both.  All terminals used are secured, licensed, and fully insured.

Why does a truck (SUV) cost more than a regular vehicle?
All shipments are based on weight that a truck can legally carry.  This is why there may be a small price difference.

What paperwork do I need in order to ship my vehicle?
In order to transport you vehicle you don’t need to provide any paperwork.  All that we ask from you is a signature and a walk around your vehicle.  During this walk you and the driver will inspect the vehicle for any pre-existing damages at pickup.

What should the customer do if the vehicle arrives with damage?
Make sure that you let the driver know that the damage is new and were not on original bill of loading.  All damages should be marked and noted clearly and let the driver sign off on them.  The next step is to contact the carrier transporting your vehicle and let them know as soon as possible.  Some carriers have a day limit so make sure you do it right away.

Do I need to be present during pickup and delivery?
Yes, we require you, or a designated person, to be present upon pick up of your vehicle.  During pick up a contract “bill of landing” will need to be signed by you at the origination point.  If unable to be there please contact the carrier prior to the pick up date to confirm an alternate in care of person.  However, after you place your order and you decided to change then additional charges may apply.  If you schedule a day for pick up and don’t show up your vehicle could be turned over to a towing company and you would have to deal with them.

How far in advance should I schedule the transport of my vehicle?
We recommend that you do it as fast as possible but you have up to a week to let us know.
